Welcome to
House of Self

Supporting you to reconnect, deepen and expand the relationship you have with yourSelf and others.

A sanctuary for your
whole Self

You understand yourself. You just don’t feel free yet.

You’re self-aware, you’ve done the work, but you still feel stuck overthinking, spiralling, second-guessing yourself. You know better… but can’t quite feel better.

This is not a knowledge problem, it’s what happens when healing stays in your head and never reaches your body.

House of Self is where that changes.

This is a space for women ready to stop managing themselves and start actually meeting themselves, moving from insight and awareness into something felt, embodied, and real.

You know better. So why don’t you feel better?

A free 3-day audio series for the woman who understands herself deeply but still can't seem to feel her way free.

The trauma-informed, parts-based integration framework I use in my private work and retreats to help women complete emotional cycles, rebuild self-trust, and create real, embodied change.

Meet Kathryn

Former Occupational Therapist, Meditation & Yoga Teacher, IFS Practitioner

For most of my life, I felt like I was at war with myself.

Not in ways that were obvious from the outside. I was capable, driven, spiritually curious. I did the work, therapy, yoga, personal development, meditation. I understood myself, probably better than most.

And yet something still felt fractured. In my relationships, my body, my sense of worth. No matter how much I learned or achieved or healed, I couldn't outrun the feeling that something was fundamentally wrong with me.

I kept adding more… More tools. More effort. More insight. More trying.

It wasn't until I stopped trying to fix myself and started actually being with myself that something shifted. Something underneath all the striving finally got to breathe.

What I discovered wasn't a new technique. It was a way home to the parts of me I'd been managing, suppressing, and abandoning for years. To a solid ground beneath the noise that had always been there.

I've built House of Self from that place. As someone who knows the terrain, and knows how to walk with you through it.

Most of us have been taught to approach healing like a project. Fix the pattern. Identify the block. Try harder. Do more. Understand it better.

This approach has been shaped by systems and cultures and will only get you so far.

Real change tends to happen in the pause. In the moment you stop analysing and start actually being with what's here. When we get honest with ourselves. In the shift from ‘doing to yourself’ to being with yourself. And they are very different.

At the heart of my work is Internal Family Systems, a model that understands we're all made up of parts. Inner protectors, wounded places, and beneath it all, a calm and clear Self that has never left. IFS doesn't ask you to fix or manage your parts. It asks you to meet them. With curiosity. With compassion. Without shame.

  • My work draws on:

    • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

    • Attachment theory and relational healing

    • Somatic and embodiment practices

    • Yin yoga and contemplative traditions

    • Presence-based and spiritual inquiry

    • Wisdom traditions

All in service of one thing, returning to the truth of who you already are.

Whether you're in a season of grief, burnout, transition, or transformation, this work meets you there.

FAQs

  • No. House of Self offers coaching and experiential practice — relational, embodied, and inquiry-based. There is no diagnosis, no treatment plan, no clinical records, and no therapeutic relationship in the clinical sense of the word. This work operates in a different space from mental health treatment, even when it touches things that matter deeply.

If you're looking for psychotherapy or clinical mental health support, I'd encourage you to seek that out through a registered mental health professional. If you're looking for something else, a space to slow down, to listen more honestly to what's happening inside you, to work with the patterns that keep you stuck, you're probably in the right place.

  • Therapy — particularly within a clinical framework — typically focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, reducing psychological symptoms, and working within the scope of a regulated professional relationship. It involves clinical assessment and is governed by the ethical and legal standards of the relevant registration board.

This work doesn't include any of that. House of Self is not regulated as a health service. There are no diagnoses, no treatment plans, and no clinical records. I don't work with mental health conditions or aim to reduce psychological symptoms.

What this work does offer is a structured, intentional space for self-inquiry and relational practice — for women who are fundamentally stable but who sense that something in them is waiting to be met. The distinction isn't about depth. It's about purpose and scope.

If you're unsure which is the right fit for where you are right now, I'd rather you ask me directly than guess.

  • I’m not able to offer crisis support, and this work is not designed for that. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or are having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, please reach out to one of the following services — they are free, confidential, and available around the clock.

    Lifeline — 13 11 14 (24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention) Beyond Blue — 1300 22 4636 (24/7 mental health support) Suicide Call Back Service — 1300 659 467 (24/7 phone counselling) In an emergency — call 000

If you're in Western Australia, you can also contact the Mental Health Emergency Response Line on 1300 555 788 (Metro) or 1800 676 822 (Peel).

  • No. House of Self offerings are coaching and experiential practice, not clinical health services, so they are not eligible for Medicare rebates or private health insurance claims. Payment is arranged directly at the time of booking.

  • Thoughtful, curious women who are already doing the ‘work’ — helpers, leaders, creatives, and seekers who have read the books, tried the practices, and still feel like something essential is just out of reach.

You're not in crisis and you're not a beginner. You know yourself well, in theory. And yet there's still a version of you that moves through life slightly braced, present in the room but not quite in yourself, holding a lot for everyone else while quietly wondering when it gets to feel more like home inside your own skin.

    • VIP Intensives — a single, immersive one-on-one container for individuals who are ready to move and want dedicated time and space to do it. Deep, focused, and designed for people who are ready to work more intensely.

    • The Field — an experiential process group for women that works with relational patterns, presence, and what it actually feels like to stop managing how you come across and make real contact instead. We meet as a group and work with what's alive in the room.

    • Intensives for Space Holders & Healing Professionals — for the people who hold others for a living. These are designed around the particular inner work that comes with that role — what it costs, what it asks, and what becomes possible when you have your own space to be held.

  • Traditional life coaching tends to work from the outside in, clarifying goals, building strategies, measuring progress against outcomes. It's useful work, and a lot of people have done a lot of it. But it operates on the assumption that if you can get the external picture right, the internal experience will follow.

This works in the opposite direction.

What we're looking at here is what I call the inscape, your inner landscape. How you are actually experiencing the life you're living, not just what you're doing with it. The quality of presence inside your own days. The way you relate to yourself in the moments that matter. The gap, if there is one, between what your life looks like from the outside and what it feels like from the inside.

It's about examining the interior conditions that shape everything else, because when those shift, the external tends to follow in ways that feel genuinely different from anything a goal-setting framework could produce.

A lot of people who find their way here have already done significant work, therapy, coaching, personal development of various kinds. They've built the insight, they've done the healing, they have the language. And they still sense something is missing. More often than not, what's missing isn't another tool or another framework. It's a direct, honest relationship with how they are actually living, not how they're performing it, not how they're processing it, but how they're inhabiting it.

That's the territory we work in here.
